Zhejiang Liown Semiconductor Co., Ltd. understands that production activities and the products they provide may have social and environmental impacts. In order to shoulder corporate social responsibility, the company hereby undertakes:
1. The metals used or contained in all products or components delivered by the Company are not "conflict minerals" from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and neighboring countries (as defined in Note 1) and areas controlled by any armed forces in those countries (as defined in Note 2).
2. The Company will truthfully fill in and reply to the survey about "conflict minerals" and provide other information as required, and promise the authenticity, accuracy and completeness of the content replied and the information provided.
3. The Company undertakes to establish a complete conflict minerals policy, management system and investigation framework consistent with relevant laws (including but not limited to Section 1502 of the US Dodd-Frank Act) and guidelines published by relevant bodies (such as OECD or EICC), and to require the same standards of the Company's suppliers.
Note 1: The DRC and its neighboring countries include:
(a) Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Sudan, Republic of South Sudan, Republic of Uganda, Republic of Rwanda, Republic of Burundi, United Republic of Tanzania, Republic of Zambia, Republic of Angola, Central African Republic;
(b) New countries (regions) and existing countries (regions) that include part or all of the aforementioned countries in the future.
Note 2: "Conflict minerals" include, but are not limited to, rare metals such as cassiterite, black tungsten, coltan and gold and their derivatives, especially raw materials of gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tin (Su) and tungsten (W), originating from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its surrounding countries, as well as areas controlled by any armed forces in those countries. "The metals used or contained do not come from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and its surrounding countries and any areas controlled by armed forces in these countries", including the mining, smelting, molding and other manufacturing processes of metals do not take place in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and its surrounding countries, and any areas controlled by armed forces in these countries.
